So this year the fight between which is better for music production or video production is actually over and we have a clear winner now. And yes, indeed, the M1 powered mac machines. I have been a Mac user for more than 8 years now, before that I made music using windows machines. I was not very happy with the crashes and the unreliability and uncertainity and hence I paid the premium to move completely to an apple eco system and I am very happy since then. We surely do have some windows machines lying around in the office still but not for any serious use case.
Earlier the fight was that apple machines were costly and hence stick with pc. But the game has surely changed. The hardware is cheaper, more powerful, the software is also cheaper comparatively and more optimised. Hence maing the choice very easy for sure.
